I was born, raised and still live in North Birmingham. I studied Business and Finance at Birmingham City University and currently work as a Data Analyst.
I have 14 years’ experience as a councillor in Perry Barr, Birmingham from 2004 to 2018. As well as being a ward councillor I also served as scrutiny chair for Transportation and Street Services (2009-2010) and the Children and Young People committee (2011-2012).
I am passionate about education and ensuring that every student has access to a good education. Every school should be a good school. I have been a school governor at both primary and secondary level.
I am also passionate about environmental and community issues. I am proud to call Birmingham my home, but I have seen the decline in the area over successive governments. We need to see real change in our community and investment into services. I am appalled by the cuts to youth services.
I am standing for the Green Party as they have the right policies to tackle the major issues in our society such as climate change, homelessness and the cost of living crisis.
