People will be able to vote for a Green Party candidate in every constituency in Birmingham for the first time at the 2015 elections on May 7. We're fielding a strong selection of candidates, including four female candidates, all pledging to fight for a public NHS, fairer taxation on wealthy individuals and corporations, free education, and affordable housing for all.
Our progressive key priorities also include decriminalising possession of drugs, creating jobs in sustainable industries, bringing the railways back into public ownership, and putting a stop to TTIP - the agreement which would enable multinational corporations to dictate terms to our government.
The Green Party is committed to reversing decades of underinvestment and privatisation, while giving Birimingham residents greater control over decision making in the region. The Party's manifesto is due out next week. It is expected to reveal policies that will put the interests of the many above those of the few.
